Writer-in-Residence at Town Hall Seattle

I have some big writing news to share. The announcement will go out on social media towards the end of the week, but you’re all the first to know: I’ve been chosen as the Spring 2022 Town Hall Seattle Writer-in-Residence!

As part of this amazing residency, I’ll receive three months of funding to write and revise. I’ll also be curating two events for THS, and I get to invite other amazing writers to read with me and talk about issues like neurodiversity and disability, as well as speculative fiction.

This is scary and exciting. My fiction has never gotten this kind of recognition before and as thrilled as I am, I’m nervous too. I’m so grateful to Shin Yu Pai, Megan Castillo, Jess Eskelsen, and the entire Town Hall Seattle staff for believing in my work. I’m looking forward to both the time to develop fresh work and the events with amazing authors and poets that I adore which will come out of this residency.
