What I Want to Write About…

Posted on April 18, 2009 - by sarahsamudre

Playing Catch-up.

personal

So I’ve been having some serious “not the kind of thing one twitters about” medical issues this last month. I have sadly been unable to keep up regular entries on the site.

I don’t know who RSS feeds this, or checks it regularly, but to anyone who visits this site often, or happens upon it now randomly- I put it to you:

WHAT should I write about this weekend?!

If I only have time for one post this next week, what should I write about? My book or how to find good connections on Twitter? Those are the two topics I want to write about, but I don’t have the time to write about both. I either want to write about two characters in my book and how they’re evolving in a surprising way- or make good on a promise I made my friend Danielle; namely, to write a post on how to find great people to follow on Twitter. Both seem like good ideas, and eventually I’ll do both. But for now, I feel scatter-brained and indecisive. Any input?

write about how socks are evil aliens from another planet trying to take over the world one foot at a time.

    hmm Book sounds interesting.

Twitter sounds useful. However since your last post was twitter related I say aliens for humor or book for a real Sarah update.

You should write about your book and the two characters. And imagine a Twitter conversation between them about how to find great people to follow on Twitter. Of course the conversation would have to be imaginary and your editor might not let it pass, but it’s there, you wrote what you wanted to write about. Right?
    Hope the Vaca goes well!

@Ed R: Ha! That is actually not a bad idea. Could be funny… or REALLY awful!

You two have been no help! I’m just going to have to pick one myself, aren’t I?

direction? I’ll give you direction. Though I’m very bad at them. You head straight on the road of the interweb. Take a right at the sign with the dude on it. You know the one with the hott guy. I think his name is Hugh Jackman. Follow that for a bit, turn left when you see a bright light in the sky. then you’ll see a dirt road of ambiguity after a bit. turn there. And bam your at your topic of the next blogtastic post. =)

I would love to read about your book! Also, it could be a good way to promote it :o).

I feel the same way, wanting to write about so many things but never have the time to do it. I know this was a month ago but I hope you are feeling better.

@Danielle: You’re hilarious. I want to find a Dr Cox ranting about Hugh Jackman soundbite and embed it here.

    @Jenny O’Leary:

Well, at least I got started with a London trip post, right? I NEEEEEED to be at least bi-weekly with this thing, but there’s so much to do!

I will definitely write about the book characters. I may save it till I am home and unjetlagged tho!

    • Wandered through an area where the graffiti on the walls is like an art exhibit. Graffiti is everywhere in Rome, but this area is gorgeous. 07:43:45 PM September 03, 2010 from Twitter for iPhone
